About the Role
Examples of Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
Lifeguards are responsible for the general supervision and safety of patrons at the Montgomery High School pool by preventing and responding to emergencies.
Actively scan the pool area at all times;
refrain from socializing while guarding and conduct routine water testing.
Ability to react to emergency situations by quick movements, strenuous activity, and on occasion assist or lift persons in distress of varying weights.
Required to remain alert to dangerous situations while sitting, standing or walking for various lengths of time.
Schedule:
After school/Evening shift Monday to Friday
Saturday Mornings-Afternoons
Requirements
Required Key Technical Skills and Knowledge:
Current Lifeguard,
CPR/First Aid certifications
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
AED Certification
Required Education, Certification, License:
High School Diploma or GED
ARC Lifeguard certification,
ARC CPR/AED,
ARC WSI,
ARC first aid certifications
Physical Requirements:

Additional Requirements:
Effective 9/1/11, all employees of State and local government must reside in the State of NJ, unless exempted.
Must have a valid NJ Driver’s License.
Must pass a Background Investigation.
